Position Summary:
WCAC has contracts with the Department of Energy (DOE) and the major local utility companies to install energy conservation measures in eligible homes to include weatherization, heating system repair and replacement, as well as other energy efficiency measures. The Business Manager plays a critical role in overseeing financial operations within the Energy Department managing budgets, and ensuring accurate Utility receivables. The Business Manager will produce monthly financial reports, analyze results, and meet regularly with Energy managers and the Finance department to review financial performance. The Business Manager is expected to develop comprehensive knowledge and understanding of how all the Energy grants combine to support the Energy operations as well as the ability to analyze Utility receivables and to ensure timely payment of invoices. This position will supervise and develop 2-3 administrative support staff.

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, 3-5 years related equivalent experience considered.
- Experience supervising staff.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze financial processes and systems.
- Knowledge of government grant/contract compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of foundation and private grant procedures and requirements preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of Accounts Receivable and other accounting operations preferred.
- Working knowledge and understanding of the Energy Conservation programs available to income eligible households required along with a working knowledge of HEAP guidelines.
- Experience with accounting software such as Great Plains, Blackbaud, Abila MIP or other accounting software desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn software and databases used by WCAC.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with WCAC staff and external agencies.

- Ability to speak Spanish or other languages, a plus.

- Ability to successfully complete a National Grid’s background check process, including drug screen (4 panel, no THC).
