Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate/Driver is responsible for unloading, picking and staging material for jobs using established AWC protocols, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process. They must be able to work in a team environment with the Warehouse Manager, Subcontractors, VP of Cabinets, Account Representatives, Customer Service Representatives, and Installation Managers by constant communication and adherence to Atlanta West policies and work flow procedures. Accuracy of picking orders for load out is vital.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Unload materials from shipments using hand truck daily
  • Unload and deliver material to jobsites
  • Check in material
  • Stage material for jobs
  • Load crews using hand trucks
  • Pick trim for jobs
  • Clean work area daily
  • Daily inventory spot checks
  • Maintain Dumpster area
  • Maintain equipment
  • Operate cardboard bailer
  • Exhibit Ownership Behaviors at all times

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Ability to safely operate forklift
  • Ability to read packing slips and bills of lading
  • Ability to interpret work orders
  • Ability to work with subcontractors, vendors, and other employees.
  • Must excel at working in a team environment.

  • Required to step up and down on forklift constantly.
  • Required to walk through 100,000 sq. ft warehouse constantly.
  • Required to use foot controls constantly.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Lifting up to 250 pounds occasionally.
