MoboTrex is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for diagnosing equipment issues, trouble-shooting equipment and machinery, repairing mechanical parts, installing new machinery and maintaining the system to minimize downtime and maximize up time and safe utilization

Requirements

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide planned, scheduled, unscheduled, preventative and at times reactive repairs to maximize up time and reliability of manufacturing equipment and machinery.

2. Ensure strict adherence to all relevant federal, local and company guidelines for safety and productivity including OSHA, ADA and other required regulations.

3. Complete periodic maintenance of equipment and machinery to include press brakes, punching machines, welding machines, forklifts and pneumatic hand tools by following recommended schedule.

4. Troubleshoot complex issues with equipment using electrical and pneumatic schematics to make repairs as needed and assist operators with getting back to a productive mode.

5. Understand sheet metal fabrication processes.

6. Evaluate workspace safety on the production floor to ensure all staff are following guidelines regarding equipment and PPE.

7. Maintain a clean and organized work area while completing tasks related to maintenance, repair or installation.

8. Perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma/GED required. An associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Minimum of two years related industrial mechanical, industrial electrical, machinery repair or completion of two-year technical school with one year related industrial mechanical and industrial electrical experience. HVAC knowledge a plus. 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Able to understand and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and functions of industry standard symbols.

2. Experienced in using testing instruments including multimeters.

3. Able to work under minimal supervision and possess time management skills.

4. Must have effective communication skills and work well with others in a team environment.

5. Possess basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel and Word.

6. Must demonstrate sound work ethics.

7. Must have knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment.

8. Able to read and comprehend labels and instructions and understand SDS.

9. Must be flexible and quickly adapt to different work scenarios.

10. Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing a plus. 


Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is required to spend the majority of the shift standing and walking. The employee is required to use hands repetitively. Intermittently, the employee may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. 


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of worked at Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. Occasional overtime including weekends may be required.
