Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst acts as a critical supervisory arm to the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) leadership team, responsible for the completion of day-to-day activities, special projects, and ad- hoc reporting to deliver proactive insight, strategies, financial models, analysis, and metrics to drive and optimize current and future business decisions. This position has accountability for identifying trends, needed analyses, and ensuring accurate financial analyses and reports for the organization. This role is essential to support organizational goals and model best practices, guided by our values of Excellence, Accountability, Transparency and Stewardship (EATS).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Updates daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting files to ensure decision makers have timely information available.
  • Mentors, develops, and directs the activities of direct reports, building a bench for future growth.
  • Develops, tracks and reports on key performance indicators across the portfolio of business.
  • Provides analytical support and financial analysis for sales, operations, farming and overhead business departments.
  • Draws conclusions, makes recommendations, and develops presentations for key constituents.
  • Works closely with operational teams to validate assumptions and quantify potential operational impacts.
  • Optimizes, manipulates, and maintains existing reports, databases, and queries.
  • Updates and maintains analysis for customer, product, and business performance reports.
  • Leverages multiple IT platforms and analytical tools to report and analyze information.
  • Proactively looks for and identifies opportunities for implementable value creation.
  • Identifies cost savings opportunities across the business.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensures timecards are reviewed and approved properly.
  • Partners with safety to promote a positive safety culture.

  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, such as GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tool and enterprise resource planning systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or equivalent
  • experience
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, FP &A functions, budgeting, farming operations or related business environment, preferable with food/agriculture company
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Advanced level computer skills with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Intermediate Power BI and basic knowledge of Famous Software, preferred

Salary Description
$80,000-$100,000 DOE
