WCAC serves 45 towns in Central and South-Central Massachusetts with offices located in Worcester, Southbridge, Webster, East Brookfield, and Leicester. Position Summary:

WCAC's Healthy Families partners with first-time, young moms and dads to provide coaching and support navigating the ups and downs of parenting from pregnancy through age 3. The Family Support Advocate provides program participants with home visits, advocacy, support, assistance, and education to help them achieve optimal health, development, family stability, and function in their communities in accordance with a participant generated family goal plan. This person will co-facilitate groups and events when needed and trained to do so. This is a full time position with opportunity for a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or HiSet equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience working with infants, toddlers, adolescents and young families.
  • Expressed desire and motivation to provide home visiting services to infants, toddlers, and families.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn Agency software and databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse individuals, families, co-workers, and community partners.
  • Embraces and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. 
  • Customer service oriented; strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive outlook and empathic style.
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must use personal vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage.
  • Ability to successfully complete a CORI/SORI review.
