The AVL Systems Engineer reports to the Production Manager and ensures system readiness in all audio, visual, and lighting production network, and control systems. This includes maintenance, repair, and integration of production systems in all venues as they relate to Harvest’s live or recorded events.
The AVL Systems Engineer must possess a high level of technical knowledge in audio systems(Speakers, Amplifiers, Tuning, Audio Distribution, Audio Networking, Audio Console Setup, Wireless RFCoordination, and Microphones), visual systems (ProPresenter, projectors, TVs, Broadcast Cameras,
Video Switchers, and LED video walls), lighting systems (DMX, Lighting Networking), and a workingknowledge of rigging, staging, and power distribution. They must also have excellent troubleshooting abilities to identify and fix any potential issues with entertainment network systems
This position will also work as a creative team member, mixing if needed for special services or events, recording and operating audio consoles or other production gear for Harvest events or services. The AVL Systems Engineer will coordinate with the Campus teams to keep an up-to-date inventory of all
production gear at the campuses.
This individual will occasionally assist in the research, design, and implementation of new production systems and will assist in the final install of these systems. They should also possess great organizational and communication skills to work side by side with the Audio, Video, & Lighting teams. - Dante 3 certified and possess expert knowledge of audio networking protocols.
- Ensure system readiness of all production systems in all rooms by coordinating with the audio, lighting, and video teams to maintain, repair, or replace production systems.
- Keep up-to-date documentation on how production systems are designed
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory list of production systems at campuses. Coordinating with the Campus Production Coordinator for accuracy.
- Keep up to date with current industry standards and upcoming technology.
- Mix, record, and operate audio consoles or other production gear for Harvest events or services.
- Assist new system installs by working with outside vendors, Harvest audio, lighting, or video teams.
- Report equipment problems and ensure that required repairs are made promptly.
- Help train audio, lighting, or video team members in repair & troubleshooting methods.
- Physical Requirements, with or without accommodation: the ability to lift to 50 lbs. consistently and 50 to 100 lbs. on a semi-regular basis, also prolonged periods of sitting, standing, climbing, crawling, stooping, kneeling, bending, carrying equipment, and prolonged periods of looking at s computer screens

Salary Range: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
