Pre-ETS Employment Specialist
Description

Job Description: Being a liaison for parents, students, schools, community partners, and Vocational Rehabilitation. Knowledge of marketing and developing networks for work site experiences and job shadows is essential. Accurately create documentation and administer assessments. This position will be fully embedded in the school and school culture. Responsible for developing, coordinating and monitoring employment service options. 

Requirements

Direct Service – Pre-ETS 

  1. Focus on quality employment outcomes for students in Pre-ETS programming 
  2. Serves as the "Single Point of Contact" all aspects of the student's transition to work. 
  3. Develop employment options and work with collaborative partners to develop and facilitate: 
  4. Job Exploration Counseling 
  5. Work-based Learning Experiences 
  6. Workplace Readiness 
  7. Instruction in self-Advocacy 
  8. Counseling on Postsecondary opportunities 
  9. Responsible for providing one-on-one and/or group assistance with transportation, life skills, and employment related skills training. 
  10. Assisting School personnel with transition needs of students and parents. 

Direct Service – Employment Services 

  1. Develop employment option with employers through personal visits, telephones contacts and mailings. 
  2. Assist employers with modification of job descriptions, restructuring job duties, and/or work-site accommodations to enhance the employability of individual served. 
  3. Ensure effective relationship development with prospective employers by attending networking events and other community activities. 

Case Management – Pre-ETS and Employment Services  

  1. Participate in development and planning activities to identify employment outcomes, job development strategies, and support activities for specific employment service individuals served.  
  2. Conduct screening and evaluation to match employment goals with job opportunities for specific employment service individuals served.    
  3. Coordinate services with case managers to ensure training and support services are appropriately and effectively meeting the needs of the individuals served and the employment situation.    
  4. Inform employers of work incentive programs available to businesses who hire individual served and coordinate essential documentation for the employer.   
  5. Plan and implement a schedule of follow-up and support services to assist employers and individuals served with ongoing employability needs.  
  6. Develop and implement individual follow-along plan to ensure job retention.   
  7. Provide back-up job coach support to assure continuity of services during absences, illness, vacations and emergencies. 
  8. Reporting and Record Keeping – Pre-ETS and Employment Services 
  9. Complete and maintain case records and documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards. 
  10. Record and retrieve program evaluation data required by the department.   
  11. Promote Agency-wide safety and housekeeping as well as take a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and delivery of quality service.  
Salary Description
Based on experience/Starting at $14/hour
