Job Description:


This is a contractor position. The Occupational Therapist (OT) assesses, plans, and executes treatment plans specifically designed for individuals with autism. The OT ensures adequate treatment across basic functional mobility programs based on physical behavior strategies and augmentative and alternative mobility initiatives. You will work to unlock a wonderful new world for children with autism. From helping one child take their first step, to supporting motor skills and hand-eye coordination to another, each day brings moments to celebrate. Requirements

Qualification Requirements:

  • Master’s degree from accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Must maintain and be a licensed OT in Indiana.
  • Job related experience within Pediatric Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must provide a full Indiana State Police Criminal Background Check.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-2 years experience.
  • Experience in Early Intervention.
  • Training in Sensory Processing Disorders.
  • Proficiency with parent coaching.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct therapeutic strategies for children 15 months to 14 years old.
  • Maintain a caseload of patients approved for OT services.
  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations – at initiation of services and then annually - including highly specialized and standardized assessments - for clients referred to occupational therapy and complete required plan of care (POC) documentation.
  • Provide direct individual therapy sessions according to individual needs.
  • Maintain current daily notes according to documentation policy and state regulations.
  • Provide education and support to staff and parents pertaining to questions related to occupational therapy and/or diagnostic process.
  • Conduct in-service training for staff, parents, and others as necessary and requested.
  • Plan and conduct special education programs related to speech therapy for staff and the community upon request.
  • Assist with Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) development, if applicable.
  • Perform duties at multiple locations, as needed.
  • Promote independence in activities of daily living (such as dressing and feeding) through implementation of the occupational therapy treatment plan.
  • Demonstrate evidenced-based clinical reasoning skills to accurately create relevant treatment plans that promote efficient client progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for efficient treatment planning and implementation of client programs.
  • Accurately and quickly re-evaluate a client’s needs to determine the extent to which goals and objectives have been met.
  • Collect and maintain relevant data on client goals and progress.
  • Maintain efficient and clear documentation of all client sessions and complete all other related forms and documentation.

Contractor Details:

  • OT contractor role is paid based on billable hours starting at a rate of $45.00 an hour.
  • 1099 Contract.
  • Equipment to do your job well: (tablet, laptop, assessments, etc).
