Description

In-house CNC maintenance & reliability

  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment 
  • Diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls systems 
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve uptime and repeatability 
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions 
  • Repair/replace components (motors, spindles, bearings, ball screws, pumps, valves, sensors, drives, etc.) 
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, PM schedules, and service documentation
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on reliability, safety, and performance 

Occasional travel / field service (U.S.)

  • Assist with new machine installation, setup, calibration, and commissioning 
  • Troubleshoot customer equipment on-site and provide clear repair recommendations 
  • Train customer personnel on proper operation and maintenance best practices 
  • Communicate professionally with customers and represent the company on-site
Requirements

  

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment 
  • Strong ability to diagnose problems across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and controls 
  • Comfortable working independently, prioritizing repairs, and handling time-sensitive downtime 
  • Ability to read and use schematics, manuals, and technical documentation 
  • Professional communication skills for customer-facing service work 
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel occasionally within the U.S.
  • Must have the ability to use all types of inspection equipment: micrometers, indicators, electronic levels, etc.
  • Must be proficient with all types of hand tools and required power tools.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • 5 - 10 years’ experience in a similar field.
  • High school education, GED, or equivalent. Work requires general education in order to prepare reports, perform calculations, keep records, and interact effectively with people.
Salary Description
$25 - 30/hour
