Position Description: HVAC Service Technician is responsible for identifying repairs and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment; and assisting with other operational equipment repairs and replacement as needed.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead by example and promote Seabrook Core Values, Characteristics, Employee Motto and Decision Making.
  • Responsible for HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, minor repairs and servicing. 
  • Coordinate work schedule from work orders, estimate worker hour requirements and order parts needed.
  • Responsible for minor repairs and servicing of kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and electrical systems.
  • Assist other staff on club maintenance and project needs. 
  • Follow safety training sessions and practices 
  • Assist with maintenance calls.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
Requirements

Education: Two-year technical or vocational school degree with an emphasis in HVAC,

electrical, or kitchen equipment 


Certification: EPA 608 certification required.

NATE certification preferred or must be willing to obtain certification within one year of 

employment.


Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive experience.


Skills: Excellent communication, excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities are required. Broad

knowledge of engineering terminology and concepts required. Must have own hand tools.

Must maintain a valid SC driver’s license.


Supervisory Responsibilities: None


Equipment to be used:   Various maintenance tools, equipment, and vehicles


Typical Physical Demands: Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard maintenance

equipment. Requires ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. Requires bending, stooping,

and reaching. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Requires ability to lift and move heavy

objects of 50 pounds or more. Requires ability to function professionally in an environment that is both

physically and mentally challenging
