Central New York Cardiology, a large private cardiology practice, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Supervisor/Department Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of LPNs and Medical Assistants in the daily operations of our nursing department and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care.
This position is day shift Monday through Friday with no weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the nursing staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure that all nursing staff adhere to established policies and procedures
- Monitor patient care and ensure that all patients receive appropriate treatment and care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all documentation is complete and up-to-date
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure that all nursing staff are aware of and comply with these initiatives
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure that all expenses are within budgetary constraints
- Ensure that all nursing staff are up-to-date with the latest medical practices and procedures

Requirements:
- Active New York State RN license
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of MIPS & MACRA measures preferred
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficient EMR coordination and utilization
- Electronic Medical Record (Medent) experience preferred
- Experience in Cardiology (preferred)
