Next Generation Construction & Environmental, headquartered in Longmont, CO, operates in seven states across the US. We are a dynamic full-service specialty equipment operator and service provider, focusing on cutting-edge soft digging services for utility locating, specialty excavation, and material removal. Additionally, NG offers a range of innovative oil field services exclusively in Colorado. Our diverse clientele includes general contractors, asset owners, and utility companies nationwide.

NG is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Contract Manager to take charge of our contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk while driving our business forward. This is a pivotal role in which you will collaborate with top-tier clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, making a tangible impact on our success and growth.


Responsibilities:


Contract Review and Compliance:

  • Dive into all contracts, ensuring they meet NG's high standards and agreed-upon terms.
  • Keep NG in line with legal standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Verify that every contract includes critical clauses related to indemnity, insurance requirements, materials handling, payment terms, and retainage.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and tackle potential risks in contract terms head-on.
  • Protect NG's interests with bulletproof contracts.
  • Work closely with legal counsel to navigate and resolve any legal issues.

Negotiation and Liaison:

  • Negotiate contract terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, aiming for the best possible outcomes for NG.
  • Be the go-to person for all contract-related communications, building strong relationships along the way.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Keep meticulous records of all contracts, amendments, and related documents.
  • Ensure all executed contracts are organized and easily accessible.

Training and Support:

  • Empower project and area managers, and other staff, with training and support on contract terms and conditions.
  • Assist in crafting and implementing robust contract management policies and procedures.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Always be on the lookout for ways to enhance our contract management processes.
  • Stay ahead of the curve with industry best practices and legal developments in contract management.
Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in contract management within the construction or utility services industry.
  • Proven expertise in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts.

Skills:

  • A deep understanding of contract law and construction industry standards.
  • Stellar negotiation and communication skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, organizational prowess, and analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation:

$68,000-78,000 annually DOE
