We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Automotive Contracts Clerk to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance with company standards and federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a thorough understanding of sales contracts and tax laws, and proficiency in accounting entries related to vehicle sales. 


Compensation: $28-$33/hour  


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and maintain accurate schedules for new and pre-owned inventory, dealer trades, finance reserves, factory incentives, aftermarket products, and service contracts. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations concerning sales contracts and sales tax. 
  • Post new and pre-owned contracts. 
  • Process   and review new and pre-owned contracts to ensure they comply with company standards and legal requirements. 
  • Perform compliance checks on all deals and conduct a final scan into CDK. 
  • Handle payoff checks and equity checks efficiently 
  • Process monthly dealer finance reserves and diligently follow up on aged items. 
  • Reconcile factory incentives and follow up on any aged items.  
  • Pay monthly aftermarket invoices, reconcile schedules, process cancellations, and follow up on aged items. 
  • Reconcile schedules and ensure compliance with revenue recognition practices. Follow up on aged items as needed. 
  • Prepare the monthly CAVS report to ensure gross matches accounting records. 
  • Manage daily flooring payments and request flooring as needed. Ensure audit items are addressed within 24 hours. 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Dealership Contracts Desk  
  • Experience in CDK 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks. 
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable with web-based programs, and proficient in Excel. 
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial management. 
  • Proficiency in 10-key skills. 
  • Thorough understanding of laws related to new and pre-owned sales contracts and sales tax. 
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently. 
  • A team player who is coachable and strives to grow. 
  • Someone who enjoys a friendly, collaborative workplace and isn't afraid of hard work, balanced with fun and recognition. 
  • Current California Driver's License
