Sr. Sales Engineer, Neutral Host 


Celona is seeking a Sr. Sales Engineer who will drive sales technical interactions with Celona customers, prospects, partners and service providers with a focus on Neutral Host Network deployments. The role will include but not be limited to, product presentations, customer consultation/training, field deployments of Celona 5G LAN solutions with our innovative MOXN gateway.    

Customers are typically enterprises with need for public cellular service in verticals such as higher-education, health care, retail, office and industrial facilities.

This role is a unique opportunity for a technical professional to take ownership of an essential part of our strategic execution as a company and help take Celona to the next level.   


This role will be focused on active engagement and co-operation with Tier-1 Mobile Network operators, in addition to Celona customers and partners. This position will report directly to the Head of Product. The ideal candidate can be based anywhere in the United States, near a major airport, as we anticipate travel to customers and partners as needed [up to 50%-70%].  


Requirements:  

  • Create and deliver technical product presentations and/or training sessions to technical and product groups of customers, service providers and channel partners.   
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves and understand algorithms, debug issues with early feature releases and deployments. 
  • Strong knowledge of 3GPP standards, 4G, 5G Cellular RAN and Core network architectures and call flows. 
  • Strong knowledge of macro-cell and small-cell interactions and features critical for seamless user experience 
  • Knowledge of MOCN, MORAN and other RAN architectures and its interactions with operator core networks.  
  • Knowledge of IP Networking and preference will be given to those with knowledge of wireless technologies including Wi-Fi, cellular and preferably private networks over CBRS.  
  • Deploy Celona 4G/5G networks at Customer sites.  
  • Define technical architecture for integration within the customer environment  
  • Participate in the consultation to prospective customers and/or product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process.   
  • Work with different stakeholders in Celona to drive pre- and post-sales alignment and engagement with partners.   
  • Drive pre-sales tests, demos, proof of concept and trial networks with Celona products as it applies to service providers and end-customers.    
  • Be a product evangelist and drive customer and partner training and enablement in the region.   
  • Build long term relationships and be seen and treated by Celona customers, service providers and channel partners as a trusted and valued resource.   
  • Collaborate with Tier-1 operators, customer/partner network engineers, architects, operation support staff to map customer requirements to Celona’s products. 
  • Collaborate with the channel sales and field marketing to plan, deliver, and manage effective demand generation campaigns.   
  • Work closely with the corporate technical, product and development teams in defining and specifying product and market requirements.   
  • Travel within the territory to visit customers, service providers, channel partners and attend trade shows.  From time-to-time, travel to Celona sales and training events in the United States.   
  • Assist in the development of technical marketing collateral including white papers, data sheets, presentation material, etc.   
  • Generate, define and document product requirements from customers and channel partners and communicate to key stakeholders, internally and externally.   

Ideal Skillsets and Experience:  

  • Significant experience, 5+ years, working in a company that develops hardware and software for RAN and Core 4G, 5G cellular system. Similar work experience that includes exposure to detailed implementation aspects of such systems in an end-to-end manner will be considered. 
  • 5+ years of experience designing creative solutions to difficult problems in the areas of small cell networks, 
  • Hands on experience in complete product lifecycle including – Day -1 site survey & RF design, Day 0/1 bring-up, deployment, optimizing and monitoring cellular or Wi-Fi networks.    
  • Experience working with system integrators and service providers.  
  • Experience working with enterprise networking technologies, including local area networks, security and firewall solutions, DHCP, DNS.  
  • Track record of building successful internal and external business relationships.  
  • Strong verbal and written communicator with outstanding project management skills and impeccable business judgment.  
  • 4+ years in wireless product technical sales experience.   
  • Experience being part of a team that delivered the first version of a product to customers, ideally in a start-up environment.   
  • Knowledge in L2 and L3 networking technologies including Switching, VLANs, 802.11, Routing Mobile/Cellular Network Architecture (4G & 5G).   
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.   
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.   
  • Passion for quality with a solid work ethic and team player attitude.   
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.   
  • Temperament to thrive in a highly dynamic, high-growth environment.   
  • A willingness to work outside of your comfort zone with a “let’s get it done” attitude.  

Compensation for this role is between $180,000 - 220,000 On Target Earnings (base salary + variable) depending on your location, job-related skills, and experience.
