Full Time Skills Trainer Supervisor 35 hours per / week benefits eligible position   


The Skills Trainer Supervisor will provide support, training and supervision to their assigned Skills Trainers team members in all aspects of the PCA program, including the application process, management of program and ongoing overview ensuring a smooth process that will enable consumers to maintain a viable PCA Program.

Description of Responsibilities for Skills Trainer:


· Supervise, train, and evaluate staffs who are responsible for the delivery of direct PCA services

· Continuously maintain the quality of services by reviewing timeliness of activities, comprehensiveness of service agreements, and accuracy of skills training notes, complete surrogate agreements, and appropriate referrals, and monitoring the productivity of staff.

· Respond to additional Skills Training requests from the Fiscal Intermediary, the MassHealth, or internal referrals or Members.

· Assist with the development and implementation of long-range organizational goals in order to improve personal assistance services to our members 

· Personal Care Management (PCM) knowledge needed for proficient understanding of regulations and contractual requirements for MassHealth (PCM) program to ensure supervised staff abide by such contract requirements.

· Candidate will be responsible for overseeing and evaluating Skills Training staff and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of their duties in accordance with state guidelines. 

· Determination of Functional Skills trainings appropriations for consumers 

· Review and monitor skills training requests from Fiscal Intermediary and MassHealth, as well as skills trainer staff for quality assurance as well as communicating these findings. 

· Quality assurance including proper documentation of complaints with time sensitive plan of action to address potential allegations of: Abuse, PCA fraud, mismanagement, PCA nonpayment etc.

· Provide Training and ongoing support to EVV [Electronic Visit Verification]


 Requirements


· Have a minimum of 1-year previous experience in similar type organization and direct supervisory role

· Must have proficient leadership skills and appropriately and clearly delegate additional responsibilities

· Must be able to have the ability to address short-term challenges and find solutions for more acute organizational needs, while maintaining an understanding and awareness for long term organizational needs and goals

· Must easily be able to establish rapport and trust with staff to provide necessary guidance and set appropriate reachable expectations for staff, while supporting the agency needs and exacting production from staff

· Must be able to respectfully and productively work with other team members to strategize on how best to achieve the needs of the department

· Must have strong attention to detail to maintain a proficient level of awareness of staff and completed, correct, and efficient case management

· Must have familiarity/ experience with disabilities 

· Must be committed to the Independent Living Philosophy and be able to easily establish rapport with others


Qualifications:

  • Be a well-rounded approachable leader while still accounting for proficient productivity
  • Able to delegate and educate appropriately 
  • Successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, ability to document work.

  • Requires adequate computer knowledge for report management proficiency such as MS      office, Outlook Mail and Data Entry. 
  • Must      be well organized, self-motivated with reliable transportation. You must      be willing to travel (within Massachusetts) and agree to a minimum of two      office days (as assigned). A familiarity/ experience with disabilities      will be helpful.
