Description

JOB SUMMARY

The role of Warehouse Manager is responsible for the organization and management of all warehouse operations and personnel. This includes receiving, organizing and preparing materials for delivery, as well as maintaining a clean and organized warehouse facility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Monitor warehouse operations to identify improvement areas; implement adjustments accordingly.
  • Operate forklift safely and effectively.
  • Oversee inventory selection, storage, receiving, and dispatching.
  • Perform security maintenance as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Conduct routine performance reviews.
  • Coach staff members to work efficiently and reduce overtime.
  • Establish work schedules and task lists.
  • Ensure staff follow all safety measures.
  • Follow up with staff to ensure assignments are completed within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Instruct staff members to resolve problems with prompt action.
  • Lead routine staff meetings to review and uphold company policies.
  • Oversee, train, and evaluate staff.
  • Plan, prioritize, and delegate effectively.
  • Provide additional support to staff, as needed, to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of warehouse management experience required
  • Ability to multitask & prioritize effectively

  • Industry Knowledge – i.e., methods, materials, inventory & related controls, etc.

  • Valid drivers' license.
