Description

Rosen Bien Galvan & Grunfeld LLP, a San Francisco law firm specializing in complex trial and appellate litigation in both federal and state courts, seeks applicants for a one-year fellowship for recent law school graduates. The fellowship will run from Fall 2025 to Fall 2026.

We have a broad practice, including both public interest and private sector litigation.  Key practice areas include prison litigation, disability rights, employment counseling and litigation, civil rights, business and commercial litigation, and First Amendment.  More information about the firm can be found at our website, http://www.rbgg.com/.

The Fellow will work closely with our attorneys on a variety of cases in these practice areas, including pre-trial work and post-judgment monitoring. The Fellow will be responsible for significant case tasks and will be fully integrated into the teams of attorneys and paraprofessionals who work on our cases. Attorneys will also provide formal and informal mentoring to the Fellow during the fellowship year, to prepare the Fellow for future career opportunities, including careers in private firms doing public interest work.

RBGG is committed to creating an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organization and community. We can only maintain excellence by recruiting and retaining a diverse group of attorneys, paralegals, and staff that includes all races, ages, backgrounds, citizenships, national origins, disabilities, gender identities, languages, military experiences, sexual orientations, religions, socioeconomic status, work experiences, and historically excluded communities.

Applicants who will be graduating law school in 2025, as well as applicants who have recently completed a judicial clerkship or other post-graduate fellowship, are welcome to apply. Excellent research and writing skills are essential.  Bar admission in at least one state is required. California bar admission is preferred. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination as well as a valid California driver’s license are required, subject to requesting an exemption based on medical condition or disability or sincerely held religious belief.  We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.

Salary is competitive and based on the Fellow’s law school graduation year. The Fellow will be able to participate in RBGG’s loan repayment program, which provides up to $2,000 per month in additional compensation to pay for law school loans. Other benefits include participation in the firm’s health, dental, and vision insurance.

Please apply no later than September 16, 2024 via e-mail to Firm Administrator Kira Hansen (khansen@rbgg.com) and include as attachments all of the following:  a cover letter addressed to the Managing Partner, Gay C.
