Impact:
The Bridge Project Manager be an integral part of our Structures/Bridge Group through leading projects in Kentucky, providing bridge design, detailed bridge inspections, and recommendation for repairs.
Responsibilities will include:
· Supporting structural engineering projects by creating scope and budgets, directing the design, and coordinating work with other staff and design team members.
· Analyzing and designing transportation-related structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structure foundations.
· Serving as a key point of contact with clients, contractors, and local officials.
· Displaying an eagerness to work on a wide variety of project types.
· Assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
· Working collaboratively with the CDI Service Leader, Project Engineers, and other team members to develop effective solutions.
· Ensuring compliance with CDI’s safety procedures.
· Document findings from visual and physical bridge inspections.
· Assessment and analysis of bridges noting severity of damage, deterioration, load carrying capacity and weight inspections.
· Advise on immediate repair and long-term strategies.
Required Skills:
· Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a plus but not required).
· Bachelors degree in Civil Engineer, Structural Engineering or related field (do you want related field)
· Professional Engineer license or IL SE
· Team Leader Bridge Inspection certification
· Comfortable working with heights and confined spaces
· Positive attitude
· Ability to be self-directed with focus on quality while working within a team.
· Proficient with MicroStation and ORD platforms.
· Highly proficient with structural analysis and design software.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment while possessing strong interpersonal and both oral and written communication skills.
· Strong knowledge of bridge construction materials (Steel, Cast-in-Place Concrete, Precast Prestressed Concrete), construction methods, structural inspections, and construction document preparation.
