A Medical Support Coordinator with Providence will help ensure that every person we support will receive timely medical appointments, supplies, and treatment. As a Support Coordinator, you work closely with the Registered Delegating Nurse and often partner with House Counselors and Program Coordinators.

Medical Support Coordinator Pay scale: $25/ hour
Medical Support Coordinator Job Type: Full-time 40 hours per week
Medical Support Coordinator Schedule: Day-Shift Monday-Friday and Day-Shift Weekends
A Medical Support Coordinator:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- 2+ years experience in this field
- Has a valid driver's license ; NOT provisional
- Is able/willing to transport people in personal and/or company vehicle
- Experience coordinating supplies from Insurance Providers preferred
- Experience as a Medical Transporter is a plus!
- Has a High school diploma/GED
- Stong Computer skills
Your Responsibilities as a Medical Support Coordinator
- Work closely with the agency nurse and Program Coordinators to ensure that medical needs are met via maintenance of medical appointments.
- Maintain an accurate schedule of upcoming medical appointments; coordinate and attend those appointments with people we support.
- Transport people to appointments. Ensure each person's safety in getting onto and off from vehicles.
- Gather relevant medical/ behavioral input from relevant parties to assist the people supported, if needed, in giving a complete report to the doctor. Maintain up-to-date internal records for each person we support.
- Ensure all medical paperwork (MAR’s, PMOF’s, etc.) is clear and complete, adding and necessary information needed.
- File all medical paperwork in the residential files, ensuring that all significant information is communicated to necessary staff.
- Coordinate with outside vendors to arrange for supplies, equipment, and medications.
- Coordinate supply services for necessary materials (gloves, wheelchairs, lifts etc.) with insurance companies.
- Assist Registered Nurse with sorting or tracking medications.
- Attend special team meetings for the people we support if necessary.
