Description


A Resource Processor I is the entry level into the Resource Processor series. Typical duties include, but are not limited to, pick-up and deliver mail and other items between departments and/or campuses, work in Fulfillment printing and packing. This position primarily supports the Warehouse, Listener Services, Front Office, and Mailroom operations. They serve with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes Harvest’s mission, culture and values.


Requirements


  • Deliver mail to individual departments by walking or using carts; unload and sort items collected.
  • Open, sort and route incoming mail, answer correspondence and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Examine incoming shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices and orders.
  • Use current software programs to create, maintain and manage data.
  • Determine shipping methods, routes and rates for goods to be shipped.
  • Provide customer service to staff, outside vendors and suppliers regarding order status, changes, or cancellations.
  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
  • Answer telephones, direct calls, take messages and transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Maintain inventory and mailing systems, either manually or electronically.
  • Communicate with staff and other individuals to answer questions, explain information, take orders and address complaints.
  • Operate office equipment, such as scanners, fax machines, paper shredders, voice mail systems and personal computers or laptops.
  • Compile and maintain file records, business transactions and other ministry activities.
  • Communicate with people outside of Harvest. Represent Harvest in a positive manner to the public and external sources.
  • Provide information to supervisors and other team members as directed. Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.
  • Complete forms in accordance with Harvest policies and procedures.
  • Bundle mail in preparation for delivery or transportation to relay boxes.
  • Load vehicles with listed goods, ensuring goods are loaded correctly and taking precautions with hazardous goods.
  • Forklift certified desired.
  • Physical requirements with or without accommodation include: Prolonged periods of time working on computer, ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently, repetitive hand and foot motions, prolonged standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching.

Starting Salary:  $19.00 per hour.
