Position Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and highly organized Project Managers to support the execution of the in-person event from planning through wrap-up, as well as other Rock Church ministry programs as assigned. They must be able to work well within time limits to plan, resource, and manage the event. Excellent people skills are a must as they will be coordinating the event directly with volunteer leaders to identify their needs, equip and train, and ensure smooth execution. The ability to multitask and prioritize are essential, as this role involves managing execution, or volunteer leader execution, of all areas of the event such as the event venue, evangelism, logistics, transportation, activities, food, entertainment, branding, special guests, equipment rentals, promotional material, toy drives, and fundraising, etc. If you are organized, creative, and passionate about planning and project management, we’d love to meet you!
Experienced project managers will work under the direction and supervision of the Rock Events Team to execute the event/programs. Project managers will be primarily focused on the operations and logistics as well as managing and supporting a team of volunteer team leaders through planning and day-of-event with volunteers. Detailed systems, tools, and vendors are established. The Project Manager will also support the Campus Staff leading and serving at the event location/programs assigned as they lead the spiritual development/discipleship of leaders as well as campus and community promotions and partnerships.

- Lead and communicate well across email and in-person with 1-1, small group, and large team meetings.
- Establishes and maintains vertical and lateral communication and feedback systems both internally within the Rock Church and externally as needed.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution amongst individuals, groups, or operational challenges without letting them interfere with work objectives
- Multi-task across many teams, areas, leaders, and functions with strong time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met
- Ability to conceptualize, generalize, and maintain the flow and processes of work processes
- Ability to engage volunteer leaders to produce and recognize the leaders' needs for resources or feedback
- Gifted project management ability to organize and communicate information across every area of the event with those who need to have the information
- Manage volunteer leaders for completion of their on-time and accurate deliverables
- Leverage technology experience to streamline the work with mobile devices, Google Docs, project management software, etc.
- Purchase, track, and reconcile expenses for the event in real-time
- Share the event with potential partners and seek in-kind donations where appropriate
- Adaptability when situations change

Contract-related Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
- Three to five years of experience in project management is required.
- One to two years of managing volunteer teams is preferred.
- Experience working with large complex events is preferred.

- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for MAC (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Proficiency with online tools such as Google Docs and Project Management software
- Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality as appropriate.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Pleasant personality and proven ability to interact in a positive manner using a high degree of tact, diplomacy, discretion, flexibility, and courtesy in gesture and speech.
- Demonstrated skills and techniques to recognize problems, issues, and situations, and apply resourcefulness in finding appropriate solutions to mitigate potential negative effects. Ability to follow through to ensure effective resolution.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy, including excellence in oral and written communications to verbalize issues clearly and concisely.

Organizational and Spiritual Requirements:
· Contributing Member of Rock Church or willing to become one.

· Utilize the principles of Matthew 18 and Ephesians 4:15 to resolve differences of opinion with others.
· Successful completion of thorough pre-employment references and background checks, which include: social security verification, Local, State & Federal criminal conviction records search, national security database, and sex offender registry.
· Attendance at all mandatory meetings and events. This includes serving at Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas services as well as the annual volunteer appreciation event.
· Member of the Rock Church (or willing to transfer membership to the Rock Church).
· Regular involvement in Rock Church activities, ministries, and events.
· Tithe 10% to the Rock Church.
· Signed acknowledgment of the Rock’s Statement of Faith.
· Ability to interpret and adhere to the Rock’s policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
· Be self-motivated and goal-oriented, use good judgment, and be flexible and innovative.
· Professional attitude and demeanor.
