Guest Service Representative
Description

 The Guest Service Representative plays a pivotal role in delivering an outstanding experience to the diverse visitors of Taliesin West. As an integral member of the Public Engagement Team, you will engage with guests of all ages, ensuring each visit is memorable through personalized interactions during our various tour offerings. This role is perfect for an energetic and approachable individual who thrives on connecting with and assisting guests.


Your primary responsibilities will include warmly greeting guests upon arrival, guiding them through the audio tour experience, and serving as a knowledgeable "host" in multiple indoor locations to answer questions and provide support throughout their visit. Additionally, you will assist with Guest Services in the Kiosk and/or Call Center as needed.

This is a seasonal, part-time position with shifts ranging from 4 to 6 hours, totaling approximately 20 to 25 hours per week from October through May. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including availability for evenings, weekdays, and weekends. The rate of pay is $16.50/hour. 


Essential Functions:

-Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to all guests.
-Model and uphold the Foundation’s Guest Service Standards.
-Communicate safety measures effectively to ensure guest safety and the protection of our historic property.
-Assist guests with setting up their individual audio tour experiences.
-Act as a resource for guests and members, providing information and support throughout their tour.
-Engage with guests, employees, and volunteers in a friendly, professional manner.
-Perform all job duties with accuracy and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements: 

-High school diploma or equivalent.

- At least 6 months of experience in a customer service role.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask effectively.

- Proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work well with diverse teams and audiences.

- Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.

- Capability to stand for extended periods and handle desert weather and terrain.

- Commitment to working up to 25 hours per week, including during peak visitation periods (February-April), with availability for weekend and holiday shifts.

  

Preferred Qualifications:

- Academic or professional background in Communications, Museum Studies, Customer/Visitor Services, History, Art History, General Education, or related fields.

- 1+ years of experience in customer service, public speaking, retail, or call center environments.

- Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including computers, iPads, MP3 players, smartphones, and other handheld devices.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce, or the ability to learn the software during training.

- Knowledge of Frank Lloyd Wright and his architectural principles.
