• Effectively communicate with customers, management, and employees.
• Receive incoming phone calls
• Make phone calls to customers and vendors
• Must move throughout the store and/or assigned departments to assist      customers and perform assigned job tasks.
• Be alert to all activities within assigned department
• Help customers with plumbing and electric questions.
• Help in loss control, safety and security measures.
• Read and comprehend written and printed materials, as well as      information presented in numerical form.
• Handle special orders for non-stock items.
• Double-check such things as color, size, price, etc., before placing      an order.
• See that the customer gets an exact copy of any order.
• Don’t guess or promise a delivery date that may not be met.
• Always get a required deposit on any special order.
• Stock Merchandise within the department.
• Safely operate lumber carts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Assist Customers with large bulky items.
• Cut pipe and tubing to customers specifications

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to Stand/Walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs., consistently and      repetitively.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have an understanding of basic math, and have the ability to      count, add and subtract efficiently.
• Must have the ability to demonstrate and explain plumbing and      electrical merchandise to customers.
• Must have prior knowledge of plumbing and/or electric.
