OVERVIEW
SHALVA has an opening for an LSW/LPC to provide direct counseling for survivors of domestic abuse using a trauma informed, culturally sensitive approach. Our therapists apply SHALVA’s proprietary theory of change methodology called “The Healing Journey” in their work. This position reports directly to the Clinical Director. SHALVA provides weekly individual and group supervision with the Clinical Director and paid opportunities for continuing professional education.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position provides therapy to individual clients and groups with opportunities to occasionally participate in outreach programs or collaborate and network with other agencies by attending community meetings within the Jewish and DV communities.
SALARY/BENEFITS
Salary is commensurate with experience. QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
- LSW/LPC required, licensed Master’s level clinician (LCSW or LCPC) preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience of supervised clinical work
- Available to attend 40-hour domestic violence training
- Experience with trauma informed therapy preferred
- Time Management – effectively manage fluctuating caseloads to meet client needs
- Communication (written and verbal) – exchange and provide information both within and outside of the Agency in a professional manner
- Technical – comfortable with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and entering data in client CRM
