Description

 Surgical Boarding Scheduler Schedules hospital based medical procedures, for patients with appropriate provider and time/location slot, utilizing appropriate scheduling protocols.

Interfaces with appropriate hospital team members and vendors to ensure all necessary equipment will be on site for office and hospital-based procedures, including scheduling with contracted anesthesia groups. Interfaces with appropriate hospital staff to ensure a cohesive working relationship in providing patient care services.

Enter notes/special instructions needed for scheduling in the electronic medical record.

Provides accurate, detailed information to patients regarding surgical preparations and any other directional information needed; takes appropriate action in responding to questions from patients.

Assures the prior authorization and medical clearance is in place as needed

Requirements

2-3 years' experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $16.50 per hour

· EMR systems: 1 year (Required)

· Phone etiquette: 1 year (Required)
