Duarte is looking for a 100% remote, Content Strategist with 3-5 years of experience and a strong background writing for multiple digital marketing channels to join our fast-paced, dynamic Marketing team. As a Content Strategist, you will be responsible for creating engaging B2B content that resonates with our audience and enhances our online presence.

This is an exciting, writing-intensive opportunity that will touch a lot of different marketing channels and projects. From producing written blog content, email nurtures, social copy, ads, website copy, video briefs and scripts – there will never be a boring day of writing here at Duarte!
This role will report to our Senior Content Marketing Manager and will be responsible for primarily writing and executing the content needed for our multi-channel, content engine. The strategist will help inform and shape the overall content strategy, and ideally will own some of our content channels and their respective content strategies.
What you’ll do:
- Be a savvy writer! You can write for a B2B audience and make it exciting. Kind of like describing bacon and making us “hear” it sizzle. You will research, write, and edit high-quality content for various digital platforms, including website pages, blog posts, social media posts, ad copy, speaking proposal submissions, email newsletters, calls to action, and more.
- Be a Wordpress padawan! You don’t need to be Wordpress developer writing code, but you should have familiarity with the backend of websites and uploading blogs. If you know the difference between an H1, H2, and H3, and know the importance of Alt text, please apply!
- Be a team player! Collaborates with a high-performing marketing team to execute timely, sometimes fast-paced content strategies that are on-brand and aligned with our target audience. You should be comfortable with feedback, ownership, implementing good meeting hygiene, and speaking up if something is unclear, etc.?
- Be a consumer of trends! Your content marketing knowledge isn’t from 2006. You enjoy staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices and are proactive in doing so. You’ve played around with AI content generation and are proficient at prompt engineering.
- Be obsessed with good design! It’s kind of what we’re all about. But you will collaborate with our design, web, and marketing ops functions often. Not to mention cross-functionally with sales, our C-suite, and other subject matter experts. Having a predisposition to “visually appealing design” is a plus.
- Be a data-analyzer! You have experience monitoring and analyzing the performance of content using marketing tools and are able to make data-driven recommendations for improvement. (We use Hubspot, SEMRush, GA, and GSC).
- Be a doer! You roll up your sleeves and can take a full brief, or sometimes the jist of a brief, and can write a good, first draft within deadline. Should be comfortable with ambiguity at times.
- Be a top-notch copyeditor! You see a typo and it makes your eye twitch a little. You have great attention-to-detail skills, and you don’t mind being the final proofreader of content to ensure we adhere to editorial style guidelines and accuracy.
- Be flexible. We are an all-hands-on deck team. There will be other tasks as assigned, if needed.
What makes a great candidate:
- Someone with strong experience in professional writing, who likes to write, and is comfortable with a writing and editing intensive role. Anyone who has journalism or agency experience is a plus!
- 3-5 years of experience in content writing, with a focus on SEO techniques, writing for the web, and UX best practices. Digital copywriting experience is a plus!
- An understanding of how to wordsmith keyword research into blogs and websites for on-page SEO. Off-page SEO knowledge is a plus.
- An understanding of content promotion. Whether it’s social media or gated landing pages, you know how to get content clicked on and consumed.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
- Our tech stack includes Hubspot, Monday, SEMRush, Salesforce, Wordpress, and Microsoft Suite. Familiarity with these platforms is a plus!
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a 100% remote, team environment. Can operate with little direction and has a high degree of autonomy.
- Creative mindset and the ability to think outside the box to create exciting content that removes friction and inspires action.
Nice to haves:
- You have an itch to run Youtube. We are ramping this channel up, so Youtube experience is a plus!
- You love digging (and doing) SEO keyword research yourself.

- Examples of your previously written work will be needed to apply. Show us 2 of your best blogs, and the keywords they were optimized for. Also show us 4 of your best emails, ads, or social copy with calls to action.
- A writing test will be requested. No, you don’t need to write us a novel, and we will respect your time. If selected, expect it to be a simple project that shouldn’t take more than 1-2 hours max to confirm you are who you say are, and that you didn’t ask AI to write your portfolio for you. (Do you blame us?)
