Candidate Profile 

Clinic Managers oversee the day-to-day activities of clinic personnel as well as clinic processes – including staff management and providing patient support. A successful Clinic Manager will have working knowledge of all clinic positions and understand how each role contributes to a successful practice which is typically gained by working in a clinical position. 


At OCR, our Clinic Managers lead and support our Medical Assistants, Clinic Assistants, Cast Technicians, and DME Fitters. This role is based at OCR –North and the person in the role is expected to travel to and have a presence at our North locations: Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the employee life-cycle for all assigned employees – this includes but is not limited to recruiting, onboarding, performance management, staff engagement, and teambuilding 
  • Develop, foster, and maintain relationships with providers as well as patients, acting as primary point of contact for concerns from providers, patients, and/or assigned staff
  • Create and manage daily clinic schedules ensuring clinic flow is effective and efficient 
  • Manages student shadow and preceptorship program
  • Participates in clinic process improvement initiatives, including KPI design, data collection, and audits
  • Other duties as assigned 



Requirements
  • Associate degree, or equivalent work experience in a related field 
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a related role, such as Medical Assistant 
  • Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, ability to quickly learn medical records system, and similar computer applications.
  • Previous supervisory experience in healthcare setting is highly preferred 
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license without any restrictions with appropriate vehicle insurance as travel is required

Supervisory Expectations

Directly supervises one or more employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Travel Requirements

Ability to travel between all OCR locations. 

 

Work Environment 

This position works in a typical medical office environment. There are regular interruptions and significant distractions to work including, but not limited to: phones ringing; patients and staff walking by; noisy conversations that carry; and answering questions asked by others. The person in this position must frequently communicate with patients, doctors, coworkers, and others utilizing various equipment such as telephones, cell phones, text/instant messaging, email, and other means. 


This position frequently moves around the clinic for up to 8 hours a day; and frequently assists patients in turning, as well as both rising from and returning to exam tables, beds, and/or wheelchairs. This position also frequently pushes wheelchairs and must be able to move or lift up to 25 pounds.

Salary Description
$65,000 - $95,000, commensurate with experience
