Marketing & Graphics Assistant
Description

We are seeking a creative, thoughtful, and organized Marketing & Graphics Assistant to join our team. This role will play a key part in the success of RIOS marketing initiatives through the production of graphic assets, documents, and content in support of the RIOS marketing team. This includes creating and updating brand assets (project case studies, work samples, portfolios, etc.) as well as day-to-day marketing tasks including assisting Marketing Coordinators on RFP/RFQ submissions and keeping team assets and templates organized. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, self-motivated, collaborative, and willing to integrate into the RIOS team environment by learning our culture and business goals from the inside out.


 Primary responsibilities include: 

  • Update and maintain brand assets including project case studies, personnel resumes, project narratives, and portfolios 
  • Capture, maintain, and update relevant project data needed for the marketing process 
  • Support teams in acquiring new work by assisting with graphics and portfolio creation  
  • Coordinate with project teams to acquire latest project assets, including diagrams, presentations, and images 
  • Prepare custom and targeted marketing graphics and layouts for new business opportunities  
  • Support strategic goals with the development of brochures, information graphics, and thought leadership materials 
  • Produce high-quality printed collateral when required for client proposals, meetings, and presentations 
  • Conduct research for relevant project opportunities across multiple markets and design disciplines to understand drivers such as competitors, client goals, and trends 
  • Collaborate with internal and external pursuit teams to facilitate RFP/Q meetings, establish timelines, prepare data requests, and coordinate consultant materials 
Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Design, Marketing, or related field 
  • 1+ years of experience in marketing, communication design, or graphic design 
  • 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in design, publishing, or the arts  
  • Excellent Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) skills 
  • Demonstrated skills in visual design and layout tasks including working with existing brand templates and creating new graphic collateral 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to coordinate multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to take initiative in anticipating tasks and to look for ways to add value to processes/procedures 
  • Ambition to develop project management and coordination skills with mentorship from the RIOS marketing team 
  • Strong writing and editing skills; interest in design storytelling and conveying the RIOS brand voice 
  • Strong interest in architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design 
  • A curious mind, can-do attitude, and passion for problem-solving  
  • Location in or around Los Angeles, with the ability to report to RIOS’s Los Angeles office 3+ days per week 
  •  Mandarin fluency a plus 
Salary Description
$70,000 - $75,000 annually D.O.E.
