Job Summary:
Tareen Dermatology is looking for exceptional Pre-Med and Pre-PA students who are taking 1-2 gap years prior to medical school/PA school to work as a clinical assistant. The Medical Assistant will work in a very fast-paced and hands-on environment while performing routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running smoothly. All training will be provided on site. Additionally, students are given mentorship and guidance in their professional school application process.
Our medical school and PA acceptance rate is well over 90%. As students move forward in their higher education, they find that they far surpass even the most qualified of their peers. Salary is $20/hour for a full-time position, plus full benefits and free and/or discounted cosmetic treatments. Minimum commitment is 14 months.
Positions available in our Roseville, Eagan, Maplewood, Faribault, Farmington, Hudson, and Monticello clinics.

Responsibilities:
· Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room.
· Accompanies provider into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and documents accurately the provider’s encounter with the patient.
· Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.
· Acts as liaison between doctors and support staff; mediating issues and problems as necessary.
· Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
· Monitors, cleans and maintains and stocks exam rooms.
· Accurately and thoroughly documents medical visits and procedures as they are being performed at the direction of the provider.
· Ensures that all clinical data, lab or other test results and the interpretation of the results by the provider are recorded accurately in the medical record.
· Generates and submits orders as directed by the provider.
· Calling and reviewing their pathology reports with patients.
· Answers and returns telephone calls in a timely manner.
· Follow HIPAA and OSHA policies.
· Travels to alternate satellite clinics as required.
· Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic setting.
