Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a Printing/Converting Specialist to join the Cursive team. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a tech-enabled, digital label and packaging printer/converter that is disrupting the industry. You will be manufacturing labels and packaging for the world's most exciting brands in wine/spirits, health & beauty, and food and beverage. You’ll be working in a bright and clean environment, and you will have access to brand new, state-of-the-art converting technology. 


What you'll be doing:

  • Operating best-in-class printing and converting equipment including but not limited to flexographic printing presses, digital finishing presses, and shrink and pressure sensitive label converting equipment to finish master press rolls to customer specifications
  • Reviewing work instructions and conducting equipment make ready processes
  • Preparing equipment tooling for production
  • Monitoring quality and consistency of print and embellishments for labels and packaging
  • Communicating with Shift Supervisor, Production Manager, and/or Scheduler regarding issues with work orders, including over or under runs, item quality, etc.
  • Training new operators and helpers as necessary
  • Participating in R&D projects as required
  • Maintaining the work area and machines in a clean and orderly condition
  • Following all company safety regulations
  • Recording shop floor data
  • Contributing as part of the wider team to achieve objective even if this means doing things that aren't strictly within the scope of your role

Requirements

What you need to bring:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least (1) year machine operation experience, printing and digital embellishment (embossing, hot stamp, cold foil, screen printed), shrink sleeve converting related production experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented, growth mindset
  • Critical thinker who is proactive to catch problems or inconsistencies 
  • Good organization skills to manage multiple projects at once
