Are you passionate about sustainable building solutions in residential and non-residential construction and ready to make an impact in the construction industry? APA is seeking an energetic and innovative Engineered Wood Territory Representative to join our team in the Southwest. This role covers a dynamic territory that includes California, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico, where you will be instrumental in promoting advanced wood systems and driving the adoption of state-of-the-art construction methods.


What You Will Do:

As our Engineered Wood Territory Representative, you will be the key advocate for engineered wood products across the Southwest region. Your mission is to develop and strengthen relationships with architects, builders, engineers, and code officials inspiring them to embrace sustainable and efficient building practices. You will represent APA at industry events, deliver impactful presentations, and provide technical expertise to support the use of wood-based solutions in diverse construction projects.


The Southwest Engineered Wood Territory:

This role spans four key states – California, Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico – offering you the importunity to influence construction trends across the region. Ideally, you will be based near a major hub like Los Angeles, Sacramento or Phoenix or be open to relocating, to effectively manage and grow this vital territory.

Requirements

  Qualifications We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related fields OR equivalent experience in the construction industry.
  • While we have a preference for candidates who are licensed Professional Engineers (P.E.) for the California market, we encourage all highly qualified individuals with relevant experience and skills to apply.
  • Familiarity with energy and fire codes within this territory.
  • Deep understanding of wood frame construction and building science.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
