JOB SUMMARY
As a Commercial Templater, you will create digital templates for countertops using a systematic, step-by-step approach to ensure accuracy and consistency. You will be responsible for templating materials such as natural stone, quartz, solid surfaces, wall cladding, and custom work. This role requires a blend of organizational skills, paperwork management, and clear communication. A solid understanding of installation methods per industry standards, along with a deep knowledge of GranCo’s shop capabilities, is essential. As the onsite liaison for GranCo, you will represent the company and effectively communicate with both customers and installers. Success in this role requires adaptability to the unique demands of commercial jobsites and projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring strict adherence to step-by-step procedures with accuracy
- Proficient in reading and interpreting work orders, blueprints, CAD software, and technical specifications
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and achieve shared objectives
- Proficient in using a tape measure with precision
- Minimum 1 year of experience in templating within the commercial stone countertop industry
- Experience in cabinetry or carpentry
- Skilled in managing technical project aspects to ensure compliance with industry installation standards and the highest level of quality.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
