Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Therapeutic School, this position oversees the Admissions operations. This position will oversee all aspects of and coordination of admissions for the Heartspring Therapeutic School, as well as support and build parent collaboration. This includes developing and implementing student recruitment strategies, overseeing the guidance of students and families through the admissions and transition process, conducting student/family interviews, tracking and reviewing student applications, assisting with final admissions decisions, student enrollments, and developing and maintaining relationships with referral sources. 

This position will collaborate with Compliance, Marketing and other departments to ensure the Admissions process and documents accurately reflect the services provided. 


Primary Functions:

Strategic Admissions Leadership:

  • Design and implement admissions process 
  • Oversee and/or conduct the daily referrals, intake, admissions, and transition process for incoming and outgoing students. 
  • Oversee Admissions annual budget
  • Recommend changes in standards, process, and identify areas of improvement within the Admissions department.
  • Oversee and/or conduct admissions satisfaction surveys, data collection, and analysis.

Build Student Pipelines:

  •  Identifies and targets markets for the Therapeutic School to ensure enrollment projections 
  • Build, maintain, and sustain rapport with individuals and departments; understanding who the key players are and who needs to be involved in decision-making processes.
  • Builds a network of relationships with outside institutions or groups that can help attract student referrals at the state and national levels 
  • Travel on marketing trips with the primary goal of attending and exhibiting at key conferences
  • Coordinate and facilitate intake meetings

Build Parent Relationships:

  • Develop relationships with parents with children with neurodevelopmental disorders as well as connects with various referral sources that represent and serve these children. 
  • Oversee and/or conduct tours of the Heartspring Therapeutic School for parents, school districts, and others visiting on behalf of prospective and current students. 
  • Act as an intermediary on difficult cases and keep the leadership team informed of the status of problematic issues.

Professional Responsibility: Adhere to code of conduct and company policies, review published communications, escalate concerns through chain of command, and ensure confidentiality. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

You are a great fit for this role if you have expert knowledge and abilities in:

  • Experience navigating DCF systems, familiarity with the guardianship process and case management
  • Able to travel up to 30%.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills, driving improved performance and accountability
  • Excellent communication and people skills, leading through influence, maintaining positive working relationships

   

Educational, Training and Licensure Requirements:

  •  Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, communications, or related field required 
  • 7+ years of progressive Admissions experience, within the healthcare or education industries preferred

Salary Description
$66,600 - $88.800 depending on experience
