Range Mental Health Center is proud to be a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). The goals of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics program in MN are to 1) increase access to community-based mental health and substance use disorder services (particularly to under-served communities), 2) advance integration of behavioral health with physical health care, and 3) improve utilization of evidence-based practices on a more consistent basis.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-call coverage for 24/7 programs at RMHC. Primarily the detox/withdrawal management but may also receive calls for the residential SUD program or the residential mental health programs (Crisis and IRTS) at our Wellstone facility. On-call is 7 days at a time. 
  • Assist with updating and creating detox and withdrawal management protocols for our detox/withdrawal management program. 
  • Assist with updating and creating standing order sets for all our 24/7 programs (detox/withdrawal management, residential SUD program and Wellstone program (Crisis/IRTS). 
  • Assist with creating MOUD treatment protocols that are evidence-based and feasible for our detox/withdrawal management, residential and outpatient programs. 
  • Assist with updating policies and procedures for psychiatric and nursing care of SUD patients. 
  • Provide training and mentorship for psychiatry, nursing, and SUD staff on latest evidence-based care in addiction medicine.  

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software. 
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Education & Experience:

  • ANCC Certification as Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) 
  • DNP-preferred
  • Fellowship in Addiction Services preferred
  • Experience with managing SUD patients in acute stages of intoxication and withdrawal
  • Experience creating treatment plans and prescribing medication for withdrawal and MOUD.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 
  • Adequate level of vision to use computer terminal.
  • Sufficient hearing to accurately record information received verbally.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
