Description
The Custodial Maintenance Host will work both inside and outside maintaining the highest level of cleanliness in the park. This will include working in a team environment to ensure quality standards are exceeded.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct all activities in alignment with principles and integrity of GGP Parks.
- Clean conference rooms, interior buildings to include hallways, elevators, common areas, stairwells, entrances, restrooms, unassigned interior and exterior spaces, breakrooms, floors, windows, supporting and light fixtures, furniture, and all other space components.
- Maintain area cleanliness to include sweeping pathways, picking up trash, emptying trashcans, and recycle material. Cleans and disinfects drinking fountains and restroom facilities, including sinks, toilets, and urinals; fills dispensers with towels, soap, toilet paper, and other items, cleans mirrors.
- Replenish supplies, maintains inventory to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Use gas powered vacuums/blowers and high-pressure water hoses and power washers to clean all areas of the park.
- Perform special cleaning projects as identified or assigned by leadership.
- Provide custodial support for events.
- Identify maintenance deficiencies and reports them to leadership.
- Use TMA and/or department systems to manage and account for work productivity.
- Work in a safe manner following department and or supply manufacturers’ recommendations, practices and procedures. Integrates sustainability practices and standards into daily cleaning routine.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with team members and guests.
- Open and close park in accordance with established procedures.
- Occasionally assist other locations in the park as needed.
- Perform additional duties as needed.

- Ability to move individual items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow department and company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Able to operate and maneuver equipment in tight spaces.
- Operate and maintain a variety of custodial equipment.
- Able to use equipment for cleaning.
- May shovel and remove snow and ice from designated areas such as sidewalks, parking lots, entryways as required.
- Ability to perform all cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals, recycling efforts (trash), BBP (Blood Borne Pathogens) clean up, sweeping, leaf removal, sharps, blowers, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to use equipment; see and read printed material, physical agility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually, and 100 pounds with assistance, to bend, to stoop, to walk and to reach overhead. Must be able to carry, place and climb ladders of varying heights.
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to-waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, stand, sit, lift and walk indoors and outdoors for extended periods of time, push, pull, simple grasp and fine hand manipulations tasks.
- Be able to work inside and outside, in varying weather, to include extreme cold/heat.
- Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, chemicals, and cold/heat temperature extremes.
Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months to one-year custodial maintenance experience preferred.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of a 365-day operation, varied and long shifts including holidays, weekends and events.
