Position Summary

The Law Enforcement (LE) Training Manager creates, oversees, and approves all training presentations and classroom curriculums related to the Law Enforcement channel. In this role, the LE Training Manager will support the law enforcement business development team by building relationships with key stakeholders within the training community and attending pertinent law enforcement functions and tradeshows. The LE Training Manager also coordinates and instructs law enforcement armorer courses and product training sessions at police agencies and police vendors at locations throughout the United States and within US Territories. 


Job Duties

  • Conducts all levels of training to employees and customers, including new equipment training, advanced training, armorer’s training, and any specialized ad hoc training required.
  • Supervises, trains, and certifies all employees and adjunct instructors who provide training to law enforcement officials. 
  • Manages master training schedule for the FN law enforcement division. 
  • Assists the business development team by participating in demonstrations and tradeshows events attended by key law enforcement and security end-users.  
  • Coordinates with the finance and business development teams to ensure that all training revenue is managed properly.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with new and existing customers to expand FN America’s training business. 
  • Educates business development and marketing staff on product features, benefits, and advantages to help reinforce FN America products' perceived value in the marketplace.
  • Provides customer feedback to the engineering, product management, and sales teams. 
  • Identifies and collects end-user feedback for the purpose of identifying new product trends and recommends enhancements to existing products that will meet or exceed future law enforcement expectations.  
  • Provides investigative guidance and communication regarding product performance issues.
  • Implements company standards related to product release testing procedures and protocol and standards for testing.
  • Participates in customer meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Educational Requirements

A high school diploma is required. A bachelor degree is highly desirable. 


Experience Requirements

Five years of full-time law enforcement experience or US military instructor is required. 


Skills, Qualifications & Requirements

  • Expert-level knowledge or ability to learn all FN law enforcement platforms. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Stoner platform, rifles, and striker-fired pistols.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.


Licenses/Certifications

Certified Gunsmith, Department or Agency Director of Training/Rangemaster or Armorer are all preferred.

Working Conditions/Essential Functions

Typical office environment with some travel between buildings and to other locations required. Domestic and international travel is required (up to 55%). Must be able to lift boxes and or crates up to 70 pounds and be able to drive and remain seated in a vehicle for up to eight hours.
