Staff Accountant II
Description

The Staff Accountant II  position must be able to communicate effectively, be highly organized, able to prioritize, work under pressure and have good knowledge of accounting and finance principles.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

· Prepare monthly servicer reports for each facility/securitization prepared accurately and timely.

· Timely recording of journal entries into Microsoft Dynamics, with follow-up reconciliation at time of entry.

· Preparation of portfolio analysis and other analysis related to facilities management.

· Preparation of borrowing requests, including assignment agreements, borrowing base certificates, and concentrations.

· Completion of a monthly review of contract terminations for each facility/securitization, including processing terminations and releasing contract files.

· Completion of review of exceptions for custodian and timely follow through on resolution of each contract exception.

· Data and contract inventory efficiency management. 

Cash Management

· Preparation of daily cash position summary.

· Preparation of cash transfers related to servicer reports.

· Preparation of reports to ensure adequate liquidity to fund expected originations.

· Optimization of appropriate leverage at each facility with respect to concentration limits.

Special Projects

· Supports the Capital Markets team in the documentation process for new facilities and securitizations.

· Assisting in the conduct of facility and securitization Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP) “audits”.

· Preparation of ad hoc reports to support management.

· Others as assigned.

· Portfolio analysis.
 


Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Two years experience or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training in a related field.
  • Self-motivation with a strong sense of initiative, organization, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite as well as customer applications and systems.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks during a constantly fluctuating workload.
