Financial Analyst
Description

The Financial Analyst position must be able to communicate effectively, be highly organized, be able to prioritize, work under pressure, and have good knowledge of accounting and finance principles.


Major Duties and Responsibilities

Portfolio Management 

  • Prepare monthly servicer reports for each facility/securitization prepared accurately and timely.
  • Timely recording of journal entries into Microsoft Dynamics, with follow-up reconciliation at time of entry.
  • Preparation of portfolio analysis and other analysis related to facilities management.  
  • Data and contract inventory efficiency management to create the highest yield of company assets. 
  • Preparation of borrowing requests, including assignment agreements, borrowing base certificates, and concentrations.
  • Completion of a monthly review of contract terminations for each facility/securitization, including processing terminations and releasing contract files.
  • Completion of review of exceptions for custodian and timely follow through on resolution of each contract exception.
  • Review of contract documents for ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Assisting in the conduct of facility and securitization Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP) “audits”.

Cash Management 

  • Preparation of daily cash position summary.
  • Preparation of cash transfers related to servicer reports.
  • Preparation of reports to ensure adequate liquidity to fund expected originations.
  • Optimization of appropriate leverage at each facility with respect to concentration limits.
  • Conduct cash flow analysis

Financial Analysis 

  • Preparation of ad hoc reports to support management.
  • Analyze and modify current processes and workflows to gain operational efficiencies. 
  • Automate current reporting processes which may be manual.
  • Work with the financial reporting team to identify profit enhancing and cost saving opportunities for the Company.



Requirements

Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite as well as customer applications and systems. Extensive Excel knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.

  • Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau is preferred.
