Position Overview

  

Are you ready to take your development skills to the next level and make a real difference? At SOLID, we’re looking for a passionate Web Developer to join our dynamic and agile team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of developing, coding, and maintaining custom web applications, as well as designing and enhancing SQL queries, reports, procedures, functions, and other essential back-end components. 

   

You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts to help implement automated business processes, ensuring our applications meet the unique needs of our clients. As a Web Developer, you will contribute to web application architecture planning and development, working with key internal and external stakeholders. In addition to honing your own skills alongside experienced developers, you’ll also provide guidance to less experienced team members, helping them grow and develop within the team.

Our team leverages MVC development strategies and the Microsoft stack, so your proven experience with .NET / C#, Javascript, and SQL (or related technologies) is key to your success.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of development, including front-end, back-end, and database development.
  • Produce high-quality, testable, efficient code by using software development best practices. Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software and web applications to meet business and customer needs.
  • Build integrated tools to expand projects, products, and SOLID capabilities.
  • Ensure ongoing administrative and maintenance needs are considered and accounted for in developing new web-based products and features.
  • Participate in the designing, architecting, planning, and overseeing of web-based projects.
  • Utilize Microsoft Stack and other technologies (C#, .NET Core, JavaScript, SQL).
  • Utilize data from various back-end services and databases via API. Participate in daily standups and provide updates on task progress.
  • Research potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts and improvements.
  • Keep up with emerging technologies and industry trends, especially AI integration and tools such as Azure AI, Python, and Tensor.
  • Provide team leadership in a technical lead and/or mentorship role.
  • Participate in quality assurance and user testing activities.
  • Leverage AI and machine learning technologies such as Azure ML to enhance web applications and improve user experiences.
  • Integrate AI workflow automation solutions and tools to improve development practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with other developers, engineers, analysts, clients and management
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field. Related experience and credentials may be considered in lieu of preferred education. 
  • At least three (3+) years’ experience in a web developer or similar role. 
  • Proven and demonstrated experience with MVC web applications and programming languages such as C#, SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, .NET, and API’s.
  • Experience with AI and machine learning technologies, including implementation in web development projects or data analytics via Azure OpenAI, Python, Tensor, GitHub Copilot, GPT 3.5 or Lama.
  • Familiarity with Entity Framework stored procedures and understanding of Transact-SQL syntax. Develop stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views.
  • Deep understanding of relational data and its conversion to vector DB or Manga.
  • Experience integrating AI solutions and tools to optimize development practices and enhance user interfaces (certification preferred).
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services, DevOps, GitHub, etc.
  • Experience developing in the government contracting space (this is a full-time salaried role not tied to a specific contract).
  • Experience with developing and upholding best practice naming, documentation and governance conventions.
  • CompTIA Security + certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.
