Description

  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee      all aspects of inventory control, including receiving, cycle counting, and      maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Develop      and implement inventory control procedures and processes to ensure      accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Monitor      inventory levels and track stock movements to maintain optimal inventory      levels and prevent overstocking or stockouts.
  • Conduct      regular physical inventory counts to reconcile physical stock with system      records and identify discrepancies.
  • Coordinate      with purchasing and procurement departments to ensure timely and adequate      stock replenishment.
  • Resolves      discrepancies in receiving by identifying damaged items and shortages and      quantity of materials; placing materials in inventory, conferring with      various entities to adjust; correcting the shortages and obtaining      credits.
  • Analyze      inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend      adjustments to inventory levels or stock replenishment strategies.
  • Collaborate      with warehouse personnel to optimize inventory layout, storage, and      retrieval processes.
  • Conduct      regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and      implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain      accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including item descriptions,      quantities, locations, and stock movements.
  • Generate      regular reports on inventory performance, stock levels, and key metrics      for management review.
  • Liaise      with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and production, to      ensure alignment of inventory needs with business requirements.
  • Able      to research and troubleshoot both physically and systematically all      inventory goods.
  • Develop      and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and      efficiency.
  • Perform      counts, both planned and prioritized, to ensure all inventory is accounted      for and reported according to company policy.
  • Work      with manufacturing departments for BOM verification, correction, and      timely entry.
  • Investigate      and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of      warehouse inventory.
  • Log      exceptions for review and corrective action with Management team
  • Analyze      inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Entering      and expediting transfers of inventory between facilities
  • Track      and report on supply chain waste, analyze data, and coordinate reduction      efforts
  • Work      closely with the Operation Managers and General Manager to manage in stock      levels, and to identify slow moving and/or obsolete inventory
  • Works      closely with purchasing to minimize raw material stock outs.
  • Special      projects as assigned.
  • Other      duties as requested. 
Requirements

  Bachelor's      degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field      is preferred.

  • 3+      years of experience in inventory control or a related field
  • Strong      analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge      of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Ability      to develop and implement inventory control procedures.
  • Excellent      communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience      with inventory management software
  • Proven      leadership skills and the ability to train and mentor others.
  • Previous      experience using or implementing an ERP/MRP system required.
  • Previous      experience working in a high paced manufacturing environment required.
  • Must      possess good time-management and effective decision-making skills with an      ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent      organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and      meet deadlines.
  • Strong      attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Proficient      in using inventory management software and tools.
  • Analytical      mindset to interpret inventory data, identify patterns, and make      data-driven decisions.
  • Ability      to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional      teams.
  • Strong      problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve inventory-related      issues.
  • Knowledge      of inventory control principles, procedures, and best practices.
  • Familiarity      with supply chain management concepts and practices.
  • Understanding      of warehouse operations and inventory handling processes.
  • Ability      to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced      environment.
