Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to members and guests in a fast-paced, upscale environment. The role includes preparing, mixing, and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness and organization at the bar, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The bartender will also adhere to club standards, promote a welcoming atmosphere, and assist in the overall success of the food and beverage operations.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Beverage Preparation: Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to club recipes and guest preferences.
- Member and Guest Service: Greet members and guests, take orders, and ensure timely and accurate service, delivering a personalized and enjoyable experience.
- Bar Maintenance: Keep the bar area clean and organized, including restocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Menu Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of the club’s drink menu, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, and offer suggestions based on member preferences.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or overages to management.
- Cash Handling: Accurately process payments, manage bar tabs, and maintain an organized cash drawer.
- Compliance: Adhere to local and state alcohol regulations and ensure responsible beverage service.
- Event Support: Assist with food and beverage service during special events, tournaments, and other club functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fine dining, hospitality, or country club setting
- TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation and presentation techniques
- Ability to promote the sale of food and beverage items
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work effectively with all personality types
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions independently
- Basic computer skills (Square)
- Multi-task oriented
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Capable of handling high-volume service during peak hours.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
High-school graduate or equivalent or related experience
Must be 21 years of age or older
Minimum 1 year experience as a bartender
Availability:
Regular business hours and after regular business hours, as necessary.
