RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist agronomy sales staff with weed and pest scouting
• Operate forklift and other equipment as qualified
• Attend plot days, sales and/or team meetings
• Visit producers with sales staff
• Assist in the collection of field plot data
• Monitor and maintain seed and chemical warehouse inventory
• Learn about agronomy products and services offered by Central Region Cooperative
• Represent yourself and the cooperative professionally at all times in action and appearance
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with teams
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma
• Enrolled in a two or four year college program
• Valid driver’s license
• Availability to work extended hours during peak seasons
• Computer and data entry skills
• Must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with others
• Agriculture background preferred but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift 75lbs., climb ladders and/or rail cars, stairs, and bins
• May also be required to work in confined spaces
• Must be able to work near fertilizer dust and during inclement weather
• Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position
