The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will coordinate the alignment of business objectives with designated Service Line leadership and team members to deliver value-added service via guidance regarding HR-related issues. This position will provide day-to-day consultation, training, and management of HR-related needs with Service Line leaders and team members in the areas of regulatory & OCR policy compliance, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, talent development, compensation, benefits, onboarding and offboarding, and culture. Additionally, this position will analyze personnel-related data to monitor performance against established HR key performance indicators for OCR.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with leadership and team members of designated Service Line(s); Establish collaborative partnership, guidance, and management of HR-related issues for the organization.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, addresses grievances, and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees in order to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance; escalates to HR Director when necessary.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to Service Line leadership, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Works with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Provides guidance and input on Service Line workforce structures, and monitors and reports on workforce planning and succession planning, as applicable.
- Identifies training needs for Service Line(s) and individuals, participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success, and follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Establishes and conducts regular meetings with respective Service Line(s), maintaining communication and providing updates to HR Director and escalating when needed.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Successful experience as an HR leader in 500-1,000 employee (or larger) company aligned to the specific HR Business Partner role/client group.
- At least two years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues required
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas, especially change management, development of HR programs, and employee relations.
- A deep knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification; SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Core competencies in leadership, change management, adaptability, job knowledge, project management, conflict resolution, communication, teamwork, customer service, and confidentiality.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willing to travel to multiple locations

- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and should do so in a sound and safe manner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
