Who We Are
Zero Dropouts exists to deliver innovative student development opportunities in a way that invites school districts, communities, and students to co-create unique solutions that recognize, foster, and unleash students’ unrealized potential so that their lives are transformed as they thrive in their education and work.
What We Believe
We Believe Mysteries are Opportunities. We are inspired to solve the deeply complex mysteries that face our world. Our innovative approach drives us to uncover hidden truths and create tailored solutions that address the unique challenges of our clients and communities.
We Believe in Anti-Deficit Ideology. Anti-deficit ideology is an approach that focuses on recognizing and valuing the strengths, abilities, and potential of individuals and communities, rather than highlighting their shortcomings or deficiencies.
We Believe in a Sociocultural Model for Learning. Students develop knowledge and skills through an active learning process that encourages interactions with teachers, peers, and their communities. Educators meet students where they are in their learning journeys, centering student experiences and identities in the process to foster both independent learning and collaboration.
We Believe in a ‘Power With’ Approach to Relationships. We use a ‘power with’ approach that emphasizes collaboration, mutual support, and collective empowerment in our relationships with youth, partners, and each other. Instead of hierarchical or competitive dynamics, it focuses on sharing power, fostering partnerships, and working together to achieve common goals
We Believe Organizations are Living Systems. Organizations are not complicated machines and shouldn’t be managed like they are. Organizations are living systems capable of maintaining themselves within boundaries of identity where emergence and resilience are recurring outcomes of their underlying health.
Who We’re Looking For:
Zero Dropouts is seeking a dynamic, compassionate Student Engagement Coordinator who is passionate about building meaningful, supportive relationships with students in Greeley-Evans District 6. You’ll play a crucial role in working with students who are struggling to stay connected or have already disengaged from school. As part of this role, you’ll collaborate with students, their families, and a broad network of school staff, community organizations, and external partners to re-engage students in their educational journeys. We are looking for someone who is proactive, deeply understands students' needs, and takes initiative in solving the mysteries of disengagement by creating innovative, nontraditional pathways for re-engagement.
Who You Are:
You are a dedicated advocate for students who thrives in relationship-building roles. You excel at proactively identifying students' needs and taking initiative to design personalized, creative solutions. Leveraging principles of empathy and experimentation, you understand each student's unique barriers and create tailored re-engagement strategies. Thinking outside the box, you continuously seek innovative, nontraditional ways to foster student interest through extracurricular activities, service learning, mentorships, and other opportunities.
Your background includes experience working closely with diverse communities, schools, families, and local organizations to co-create solutions that promote student success. You have a solid foundation in educational roles that emphasize recognizing and leveraging students' strengths, particularly those from marginalized or underserved communities, addressing their academic, social, emotional, and logistical needs with an anti-deficit mindset.
In positions where advocating for student voice and agency was central—such as youth leadership programs, restorative justice, or peer mentorship initiatives—you have demonstrated the ability to encourage students to actively participate in shaping their educational pathways. Your previous involvement in nontraditional or alternative education environments has allowed you to create or connect students to opportunities outside traditional educational settings, fostering re-engagement through experiential learning, service-learning, or workforce development programs.
You have a history of proactively solving challenges and taking initiative in student engagement efforts, identifying barriers to education—such as attendance or truancy issues—and developing creative, student-centered solutions. Your experience collecting and analyzing data related to student outcomes, attendance, and engagement informs targeted interventions, whether in roles such as data manager, case coordinator, or student support specialist.
Your experience working in multicultural settings demonstrates your commitment to cultural competence and ensures that student identities and experiences are central to educational practices.
Ultimately, you are passionate about fostering a sense of belonging and creating pathways for students to succeed, ensuring they receive the wraparound support they need to thrive in school and beyond. If you are motivated by solving complex challenges, enjoy being part of a collaborative team, and are committed to empowering students to unlock their potential, this role is for you.

- Actively engage in district and community partnerships, participating in events that contribute to program improvements, student recruitment, and the expansion of support ecosystems for youth.
