Facilities Director

As a Facilities Services Director, you will:


  • Facilities Management and Operations: Develop and implement a comprehensive building management program that ensures all facilities are safe, accessible, and conducive to the needs of our clients. Monitor and optimize the performance of building systems, ensuring alignment with healthcare industry standards. Oversee the financial operations of the Facilities department. Ensure efficient allocation of resources to meet the needs of the organization while maintaining fiscal responsibility. (Excellence)
  • Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Lead initiatives to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including inspections, to ensure the safety and licensure of our facilities. Develop and enforce policies and procedures that prioritize the health and safety of clients and staff. (Integrity)
  • Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship: Drive sustainability initiatives that reduce the environmental impact of Heartspring’s operations. Implement strategies that promote energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource conservation, aligned with healthcare & educational facility standards. (Celebration)
  • Vendor and Contractor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers. Negotiate and manage contracts for construction, maintenance, and repair services, ensuring high-quality work that meets the specific needs of our healthcare environment. (Leadership)
  • Client-Centered Facility Planning: Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure that facility design and modifications meet the specific needs of our clients with disabilities, accommodate future growth and evolving client needs. (Possibility)
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency operations plans that address the unique risks and needs of a healthcare environment for those with disabilities. Lead emergency response efforts. (Service)

Requirements

 

You are a great fit for this role if you have knowledge and abilities in:

  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical and architectural trades, and their application in healthcare facilities.
  • Strong understanding of applicable codes, laws, and regulations, including OSHA standards and the Kansas Building Code.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders, including clients, staff, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Proficiency in budget preparation, financial management, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, focus on developing a high-performing, client-centered team.
  • Ability to use technology effectively for facility management, including software for maintenance tracking, project management, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and digital tools/platforms.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Public Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, with a focus in similar environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical trades, architectural trades, and campus operations.
  • Experience with federal, state, and local safety regulations and enforcement procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects

Work Environment:

  • Office environment, indoors, climate controlled
  • Occasional exposure to infectious disease, parasites, bodily fluids, and blood-borne pathogens
  • Potential exposure to physical contact from students, including slapping, hitting, punching, kicking, head-butting, and biting.
  • Occasional exposure to all weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow/ice
Salary Description
$70,000-$111,000 dependingon experience
