We have an opening for a collaborative and driven individual to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager. This position works hand in hand with the Project Manager to manage a project throughout its lifecycle. The Assistant Project Manager typically manages multiple projects at one time, usually in different phases of completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for partial project ownership including, but not limited to:
- Preparation of project construction documents.
- The project schedule management with the Project Manager and Superintendent and the required Subcontractor for input.
- Project budget management and maintenance.
- Preparation and issuance of Subcontract-specific terms and conditions for estimating to incorporate into the master Subcontract.
- Work alongside and assist Preconstruction with buyout.
- Management of a master submittal schedule and submittal log.
- Management of material tracking log and deficiency log.
- Work with the Project Manager on resolution of project-specific issues.
- Assist the Project Administrator in processing all construction documentation as needed
- Manage Owner Change Order Requests from RFP to submission of change order.
- Preparation and distribution of Subcontractor Change Orders and associated budget revisions.
- Assistance and preparation of monthly Applications for Payment.
- Collaborate with Project Administrator and Project Manager in completion of close-out activities.
- Attend and participate in trade pre-construction meetings with the project team to review all requirements.
- Responsible for taking the minutes of Owner and Subcontractor meetings.
- Responsible for submitting permit applications and tracking all project related permits.
- May independently manage small construction projects of limited scope and complexity.
- Participate in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending, and applying safety and health training, and eliminating hazards within your capability and control and the help of safety staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position.
- At least 2-5 years of progressive construction related experience.
- Fosters a strong desire to learn, welcomes a new challenge, and values the need to collaborate with all team members.
- Organized individual with a keen ability to prioritize multiple deliverables with changing deadlines.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with scheduling software, Textura, Procore, and Bluebeam preferred.
- Approach every responsibility and interaction with a high level of integrity, fairness, care, and concern.

- Some periodic travel may be required.
