Houston Habitat has built more than 1,200 homes in 12 Houston neighborhoods, including the Fifth Ward, Clinton Park, Settegast, Sunnyside, and Carverdale. In addition to building, the organization has also repaired homes throughout Houston due to natural disasters; since Hurricane Harvey Houston Habitat has repaired more than 700 homes for families who are without resources to make repairs.

Summary
Under the direction of the ReStore Manager, the Restore Supervisor- Sales is responsible for the overall support of the entire sales floor. The Restore Supervisor- Sales supports the ReStore Manager, ensures the smooth operation of the ReStore and the satisfaction of its customers, engages in a wide variety of tasks, and reports to the Manager for achieving sales goals, priorities, or areas where help is needed. The Restore Supervisor- Sales will be responsible for acting as Manager on Duty and making decisions while the ReStore Manager is away. The Restore Supervisor- Sales is responsible for leading the store's team and ensuring employees work efficiently, eliminating idle time and disorganization, and executing various projects that assist with the sales and support of the store.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Team Leadership: Guide and motivate the team to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store culture. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment where employees feel valued and engaged.
- Operations Management: Assist the ReStore Manager in overseeing daily operations, including sales strategies, inventory management, cash handling, and store maintenance. Ensure smooth and efficient operations to maximize profitability.
- Customer Service: Ensure a positive customer experience by providing excellent service, resolving customer inquiries and complaints promptly, and promoting the ReStore's mission and values.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the ReStore Manager, other team members, and external stakeholders. Clearly communicate expectations, provide updates, and address any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Compliance: Adhere to all Houston Habitat for Humanity policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Ensure that the store is compliant with relevant laws and regulations and take proactive steps to prevent accidents and injuries.
By effectively fulfilling these responsibilities, the Restore Supervisor- Sales will contribute significantly to the success of the ReStore and support the overall mission of Houston Habitat for Humanity.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
- 1-3 years in similar work experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of management/supervisory experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of Cash Management
- Minimum of 2 years of Inventory Management
- Proficient with Microsoft Software and Operating Systems
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
- High level of flexibility
- Natural talent for motivating and developing teams.

Work may require climbing ladders, prolonged times of standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching awkward and tiring positions, especially at outreach events. Operation of equipment may be required at any time.
Work Environment:

Duties are primarily performed in an indoors environment and may from time to time require the employee to help unload a truck or load a customer’s vehicle in an outdoor environment. Elements of an outdoor environment may include, but are not limited to, hot or cold temperatures, rain, and/or wind.
