Houston Habitat has built more than 1,200 homes in 12 Houston neighborhoods, including the Fifth Ward, Clinton Park, Settegast, Sunnyside, and Carverdale. In addition to building, the organization has also repaired homes throughout Houston due to natural disasters; since Hurricane Harvey Houston Habitat has repaired more than 700 homes for families who are without resources to make repairs.

The ReStore Supervisor- Warehouse is responsible for overall supervision of the ReStore’s warehouse and inventory. Specific responsibilities include:
OPERATIONS
- Assure all donations received in the warehouse go directly to the staging area away from customer access for processing.
- Oversee the pricing and cleaning of all products before placement on the sales floor.
- Responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and timely movement of all materials in warehouse staging area and outdoor yard.
- Keep warehouse doors closed unless receiving donated or purchased merchandise.
- Maintains storage area by organizing floor space and keeping area free of debris
- Keeping equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions and informing ReStore Manager of the need for repairs.
- With the help of the ReStore Manager ensure the warehouse is adequately staffed to fit operational needs.
- Oversees monthly and yearly inventory and the accompanying audits.
- Has good knowledge of inventory turnover
- Responsible for auditing and overseeing all product pricing
- Develops and maintains competitive product pricing.
- All other duties as assigned by ReStore Manager.
CUSTOMER SERVICE & RELATIONSHIP TO THE PUBLIC
- Maintains good working relationships with donors, suppliers, customers and homeowners.
- Ensures friendly customer service.
- Responsible for prompt resolution of customer complaints and concerns.
- Ensures that employees have basic product knowledge.
- Ensures that employees have customer service training.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS & VOLUNTEERS
- Must ensure good employee relations.
- Is responsible for supervision of all warehouse employees (including volunteers).
- Provides support, guidance and encouragement to all warehouse employees (including volunteers).
- Facilitates a positive team-oriented environment in which all employees and volunteers are given the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
- Ensure that violations of the Employee Handbook are addressed to the ReStore Manager.
- Identifies and addresses employee training needs with ReStore Manager.
REPORTING AND COMMUNICATIONS
- Ensures that safety and accident/incident reports are prepared and turned into the ReStore Manager on a timely basis.
- Responsible for timely employee performance reviews
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- One year experience in related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Tactful, diplomatic and self-motivating.
- Ability to provide direction in a positive and affirming manner.
- Ability to supervise and direct employees and volunteers.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Able to adapt quickly to changing environments.
- Knowledgeable of employee relation policies and guidelines.
- A sense of community service and helping others.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stand, squat, and bend.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- On occasion exposure to outdoor weather conditions (hot, humid, rain, and cold).
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those the
employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Duties are primarily performed in an indoors environment and may from time to time require the employee to help unload a truck or load a customer’s vehicle in an outdoor environment. Elements of an outdoor environment may include, but are not limited to, hot or cold temperatures, rain, and/or wind.
