Job Summary:
Actively responsible for St. Michael’s (excluding the school) parish media communications for activities and events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Duties include publication for the weekly parish bulletin, website content management, electronic parish newsletters via Flocknote, Administrative Coordinator of the parish’s Flocknote account, managing social media content (Facebook and Instagram), content management for the church vestibule electronic display boards, weekend Mass Livestream monitoring, and other internal advertising venues.
- Serve as a liaison between various parish ministries, including our Parish Council of Ministries, Finance Committee, Pastoral Council, Bulletin and website vendors.
Professional Qualifications:
- Applicants should have well-established writing, editing, publishing, graphic design, and basic website coding experience.
- Prefer applicants who are proficient in Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and possess basic website management software knowledge.
- Time management skills, the ability to work with and meet deadlines, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail are necessary traits for this position.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic faith is essential in being able to communicate the mission and message of St. Michael’s Parish.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to remain in an office at a computer workstation and access information from a computer and use a telephone. The employee is required to be mobile to, from, and within the office, as well as maneuver throughout the parish facility to attend meetings, briefings, and other work-related events. The employee may be required to conduct trips to, from, and within various city and county-wide locations to attend meetings or events. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
