Position Overview

The Plasma Table Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining plasma cutting equipment to produce precise metal components for HVAC systems. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. The ideal candidate will work closely with the production team to ensure that all products meet the highest standards and are delivered on time.


Requirements

Essential Job Functions

  • Operate plasma cutting table to cut metal sheets and plates according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine cutting requirements.
  • Set up and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate cuts and optimal performance.
  • Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plasma cutting equipment.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Document production activities and maintain accurate records.

Education: High school machine operation diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in Plasma cutting preferred.

Experience: Proven experience in operating plasma cutting equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work. 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required
  • Forklift experience preferred.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Willing and able to work outside in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Willing to work alone a high percentage of the time.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Willing to work in a manufacturing environment with dust, fumes, oils and where noise levels can be high.
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds and handle physical workload.
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs and ladders
  • Position requires standing or walking all the workday. Frequently involves stooping and kneeling.
  • Must possess sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to accomplish job tasks. 
  • Must possess manual dexterity such as reaching, handling, fingering, and touching to effectively handle material and operate welding equipment. 
  • Must be able to work overtime as required. 
  • Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in Company duties. 

Pay:

Starts at $20/hr.
